question about PEX for solar applications

hello - thanks for creating an innovative design for prefab housing - i have been researching for a while - but i'm new to the technical part of the research. i have been trying to get as much info as possible on the solar applications. do the solar panels in the i-house power the electrical system, the heating system, or the hot water system? in looking over the blog history, i saw that plumbing for the i-house is PEX. to familiarize myself on that, i googled, and found a question - is PEX used only for the plumbing in a solar i-house? if you can go to the page below and click on the FAQS, it shows that PEX tubing is not applicable for radiant heating. http://www.pexsupply.com/PEX-Tubing-223000
i also have another question - where can i see the i-house models in both 1 and 2 bedroom layouts?
thank you for your help. miim

If the system is producing more power than is needed to run the home, the excess power is automatically diverted to the grid through a dual direction meter. You will receive a credit for any power you kick back to the grid. The system is fully automatic, requiring no switching of breakers or switches and comes completely set up and ready to go.
The plumbing throughout the i-house is indeed PEX. Since there is neither a solar water heater nor a radiant heat system, PEX plumbing is not utilized in such a way.
Currently, Knoxville has the only 1 bedroom i-house on display. Since one of the home building facilities is about an hour and a half away, there is a good chance you can see both floor plans in a couple of hours. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
